Predator hunting as a status game

When I wrote about the ritualistic aspects of predator hunting last year I left out something big, namely what is driving it all? While I still think I provided valuable insights into the mechanisms of how it works, the oomph behind such things is supplied by something else, namely the status games that all humans play and I have now become better educated on thanks to watching this episode of Zach Elwood’s “People Who Read People” podcast, with evolutionary psychologist David Pinsof:

The first rule of the status game, according to Pinsof, is to pretend that one is not playing for status. For example if Chris Hansen had overtly indicated he was seeking status by putting all those other people down, he would just be gross and no hero to the normies despite upholding their ostensible “morality.”

Another key insight is that much of the time status games are played in a negative sense, to avoid losing status. The people who cancelled me from career prospects in software development were not doing it to gain status. They were very much playing the status game, but their actions were all about fear of taking a hit to their present status (which is also why it did not go beyond that into a human sacrifice ritual such as the “predator hunters” are conducting). Negative emotions are more powerful than positive ones and so it gets all that more frenetic when there is a perceived danger that one may get cancelled oneself, for example because of association with a known witch or “predator” or “pedo” as they are called now.

Another key insight is that much of the time when playing status games, people believe their own lies and there is even a selection effect bringing the best self-deceivers to the top because they are thereby better at deceiving others too. Witchcraft and predatorhood and pedophilia are prime candidates for believing your own lies because there is no immediate feedback from reality as long as you go on playing as a good normie. Why should you care that there is no validity to these concepts as long as you are not accused yourself? You fit better in by believing the lie, and even when accused yourself the best (or at least most common) strategy is typically to affirm the hysteria and double down on it. We see this constantly now in the Epstein panic where the current targets of the witch-hunt, such as Mette-Marit, squirm and scream to the effect that “Epstein was such a horrible witch that he out-witched me and made me a victim too even though I appeared to associate, so can you all please stop this witch-hunt against me and target the next best witch!”

Another insight I have reached on my own is that the so-called “female sexual trade union” (STU) which is such a popular villain in the other faction of the MRA movement led by the Antifeminist becomes an even more tenuous concept in light of status games. I used to call myself an antifeminist too but it made increasingly less sense as feminism just became synonymous with the Zeitgeist and at this point I do not care that feminism delivered the premises of the so-called “sexual abuse”-contrivance that society is currently witch-hunting because it is not about that anymore in any real sense, which is all status games. Status games are in fact most forcefully played by men and I can feel this fully myself as a public target where most of the hate (or just refusal to associate) I get is from men. This is a much darker reality than merely being up against feminism rather than all of society as is the case, but also a cause for optimism because another key insight is how unstable the status game is. The actual content of the status game is supplied by something I have no better word for than cultural drift since it varies so wildly between cultures and times. There is no external referee standing outside the game getting to decide what we are fighting for and against, such as the mythical “STU” would have to be if the Antifeminist’s rhetorics matched reality. And when men are told there is a STU behind the persecution of our sexuality, their honest response would anyway be “I don’t care about the STU, I care about status, and right now nothing could be more detrimental to my status than rising up against the STU.”

In light of everything this professional evolutionary biologist is saying about the status game, I can easily envision the next kind of witch being a sort of feminist old hag who believes in sexual abuse rather than the current practice of taking her at her word and hunting the “sexual abusers.” Because the overarching insight is that words can be arbitrary vehicles for the status game, especially when they denote a supposed extreme villain or hero. We do not need to take anybody at their word because everyone will always be claiming they are doing the “right thing” anyway and no matter how currently righteous and virtuous in the current configuration you can be the next target.

Of course, I myself am not exempt from playing the status game either. I would love to get status as a MAP activist. But with that so unlikely to happen in my lifetime I can with some credibility claim I am mostly playing the long game of getting at what is morally right regardless of how it is perceived in the moment.

Swimming with the stream after all

I take the liberty to self-plagiarize some snippets of an earlier blog post of mine since the gist of it got even more relevant in light of my cancellation from any hope of making a living.

I am the heretic you can hate in an effortless collective way, with full institutional backing. When you don’t try to be a reformer or heretic, all that energy becomes available to you for other uses. Going with the stream means accepting everything with equal detachment because you are the stream. The normies who never think for themselves are always backed by the stream, so everything they do becomes that much easier. When you spend no energy hating, you even have more energy to hurt your enemies, and those who do not publicly oppose the sex laws have more occasion to break them. If I had always flowed with the stream I would probably have been a normie with respect to career and socioeconomic status as well. As such, I chose stupidly.

Or did I?

I made a valid point there, because the economic consequences of being a persona non grata in society are extremely crippling when you also don't qualify for any sort of pension, which I likely won't for another 20 years.

But upon further reflection, there is an important sense in which the opposite perspective is also valid.

Because I swim with the stream of my biology and psychology, which is extremely liberating. I feel in harmony with a larger stream than contemporary society and its peculiar quirks of the moment. In return for my momentary heresy I feel in harmony with history, like the sexual practices of Egon Schiele's day and Epstein's too before society turned on him from 2004.

Since I am egosyntonic and do not participate in the witch-hunt against male sexuality which I fully acknowledge as my own sexual nature, I feel a sense of ease and wonder that the normies lack, part of something greater and kinder which is not entirely lacking under the surface in the present either.

Also unlike most normies I swim with the stream of civilizational collapse instead of trying to hang on to our absurdly unsubstainably affluent lifestyle. Ever since I got immersed in the Peak Oil scene about 2014 I have been well aware of energy issues -- inspired by people like John Michael Greer, Gail Tverberg and Chris Martenson. Learning that the next stage of civilization is collapse was as shocking to me as anybody, but I am long done grieving over that now and can just flow with the descent. Since I own nothing, no wealth can be taken from me anyway by financial collapse. Of course it will be unpleasant for me to starve it comes to that, but the relative boost to my status from the normies also being dragged down to that level seems to me a net positive.

The Peak Oil movement was never quite relevant when it was going the strongest, but now with the Iran War it definitely is. To future-proof this post I should add that this might still be a dress-rehearsal and not the real peak oil crisis, but if so they better get that strait opened fast.

As of yet it looks like my collapse mindset will serve me well, and I don't regret my sex-positive disposition either.

So let's flow with collapse and true sexuality together and discuss these issues here. Despite all my marginalization there is a magic to it since my comment section never fails to fill up, which means I am indeed connected to a larger stream. Though it may be invisible to the mainstream at the moment these heresies are still alive and easy to find for those who bother to pay attention, with no substantial restrictions on our freedom of speech yet.

I got cancelled too

As we have learned from Michael Tracey's excellent journalism on the Epstein "scandal," it all boils down to a guy who was so straight-laced that he didn't even willingly admit girls under 18 to his house. They had to lie about their ages to get in, which a few down to 14 years old managed but mostly he simply did not have anything sexually to do with minors, nor did he "traffick" (in any reasonable or contemporaneous sense) them or adults for that matter. New readers who still don't know that's all there is to it can check out all the links to Tracey's videos which we discussed under my previous blog post.

But it doesn't matter what the facts are, does it? Judging by all the hysterical men (yes, they are nearly all men) who after debating Michael Tracey and conceding these are the facts persist in their belief that the current witch-hunt is justified, I have given up thinking facts are relevant, which makes sense when you consider that this is a classical witch-hunt.

Witch-hunts are not exaggerations. It's not like we look back on historical accused witches and concede that they were a little bit witchy by today's standards too. No, in hindsight witch-hunts are complete and utter nonsense and the Epstein hysteria is no exception. There is literally nothing to it. Epstein did nothing that should have any relevance outside the egregiously draconian Florida jurisdiction in the early 2000s, and his friends did nothing at all.

You can also tell this is a witch-hunt by how it taints all his friends as equally bad witches and compare it to how association with anyone else with come kind of criminal conviction fails to have this effect. I have never seen anything like it for the worst criminals and now we are talking about an offense at the very flimsiest basis, relating to a girl one day under 18. It is absurd.

And now even I managed to get cancelled for my opinions in support of Epstein. It's no big deal for me as I never really had any positions worth a damn, but now I am preemptively cancelled from getting an unpaid internship because potential employers googled me and read my latest blog posts. So the path out of poverty which I mentioned about a year ago is now unavailable. I have learned a lot as I completed the classroom education part of the Kodehode program with no issue. Apparently I am too boring in person to google, so no one there noticed I have politically incorrect opinions, but when potential employers do background checks they find my blog and get hysterical, which made Kodehode hysterical too and so they kicked me out.

On the plus side I did learn a lot which will be beneficial even if I can't get a job. And now I have more time for creative expression such as blogging and coding my own projects. But I need to get back to the drawing board on how to get out of poverty and welcome suggestions to that effect.

Reeling from the Epstein scandal

While all the normies are "reeling" from the Epstein "scandal," I reel in the opposite direction, cringing that they can be so obtuse as to fall for this "sex abuse" hoax. The hoax also comes with amazing doublethink given that as late as 2018 we could read articles about how men doing exactly the same are not sex offenders, like this one in The Art Newspaper about Egon Schiele for example:
Egon Schiele was not a sex offender... By all appearances, Schiele’s sexual escapades were fully in keeping with the norm for a bourgeois young man. Because males were not considered suitable marriage partners until they had established themselves professionally, they were expected to spend their early 20s consorting with prostitutes and lower-class lovers. Most of these prostitutes were minors; the age of consent in fin-de-siècle Austria was 14.
Like fin-de-siècle Austria I don't see a problem with 14-year-old prostitutes, which is the worst Epstein is credibly accused of. I honestly don't comprehend how the normies manage to believe this is the worst crime ever when it obviously couldn't get more culturally relativistic if we peer into the recent past. No, we did not "discover" in the meantime that sex with minors is objectively harmful. Ask any competent and intellectually honest expert like Bruce Rind or Michael Bailey or James Cantor: the evidence is just not there. The current moral outrage is all baseless hysteria and ulterior motives for controlling sexuality.

From reading the news these days one gets the impression that it is humanly impossible to ever question whether what Epstein did is abuse, because there is literally no dissenting voice in the mainstream. My superpower is to not believe in this charade and to say so publicly. Truly a superpower given how statistically rare it is. Heresy is a superpower against a superstition which has eaten the entire world and stands above all other religions as the supreme "truth" against which one shall not blaspheme. Every day I thank God that I did not internalize the CSA hoax like all the gullible or obsequious normies, and that I got the ample record of my blog to prove it!

The normies desperately seek to cleanse themselves of everything to do with Epstein and everyone who knew him, but I only feel like washing off the dirty association with these sex-hostile normies. That's why I'm writing to reiterate once again that I am different. It is exasperatingly difficult to get that message across because when you proudly stand for these views, no one will listen. They only want to hunt those who are hiding or denying that they would ever touch a minor and who apologize profusely for ever associating with one who would. If they stumble upon my blog they get bored after a sentence or two either because there is no sport in exposing an activist or because they can't parse that anyone can deviate from a norm which is supposedly held by the entire culture.

But anyway, here we have a venue to be different. I doubt I will be censored this time either because censorship is not the issue. The truth is out there in the open in places like The Art Newspaper and academic journals; it is simply ignored because hysteria is what the normies want.
